Bad Instructors

   Reviewed 26 May 2013

Have recently completed my dive course here. I was very dissappointed with Steve the owner/Instructor. Taking the sport seriously is one thing but to drill and yell at people? No drink breaks? No toilet breaks? All because he didn't want to be interupted! It's not the army. We are the ones paying for the course so i believe we should be treated with some basic respect. Also people had to buy their own snorkels, boots and fins "this was because of hygiene"(mind you this was not told to anyone prior about boots and fins) so of course we had to buy them all from their shop, funny this.. how come we borrow their wetsuits? How come we borrow their hoods? Regulators? These are all hygiene as well.. The environment their was just very unpleasant. I do not recommend anyone learning or taking any diving course from these people. (Expecially if you have Steve as an instructor) Its not fun at ALL! Be mindful guys, the sport is supposed to be fun.. Not army drills..

Worse dive centre

   Reviewed 26 May 2013

Had a few friends complete their open water diving certificate recently and was discusted by the way the owners conduct their courses and how they run the store. Firstly, every store i have ever come across includes all dive gear when doing a course, after all, people who are new to this sport and simply want to try it out will most likely not have any equipment and may find they dont like it half way through anyway. Not once are studnets asked prior to the course what equipment they have or what they will need for the course, and this is due to a deliberate scam to make money. Students assume that all gear is included but on the day of the course they are told that they need to buy fins, masks, boot etc, for which they point out the most expensive such as V16 slit fins. Much like the previous review, their excuse is hygiene and yet they hire out wetsuit which are urinated in, but they make you buy fins which actually dont touch your skin at all. Just blatantly ripping people off. Aside from that, the course is run as if students are in the military and are actually yelled at during the course. They only receive a ten minute break throughout the entire day and during this time is the only time they are able to drink. This is appalling as we all know how dangerous dehydration is, especially with diving and being in salt water. The way in which these owners run their store and courses, i do not recommend anyone pursuing a course with them.

Poor Service

   Reviewed 24 April 2014

I completed a course here in 2013 and found this organisation to be very disorganised. Equipment had to be purchased for the course and was only told about it on the day, which gave me no time to research or shop around, this is a con. Had 2 different instructors and they were showing me different techniques, this was confusing and made learning difficult. They claim to have high standards and you pay more expecting this, however dont be fooled, this is not good value. Under staffed, disorganised and not interested, i would NOT recommend this dive shop.
